The significant thrust by Government of India in the broad area of health care and associated technological interventions has motivated VT India in foraying into the research and innovation in health care challenges. With seed funding from two medical colleges namely ACS Medical College and Hospital, Chennai and Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore, VT India has embarked into a few research projects in this area. Some of the candidates are smart stethoscope for detecting heart murmurs in children, antenna for hyperthermia treatment of cancer, anti-viral, self-sterilising quad layer GO/rGO reusable masks/PPE for COVID pandemic, robotic decontamination for hospital environments using semi-autonomous teleoperations, quantification of biomarkers using wearables and robo-assisted community Kiosk.
