Autonomous systems and robotics are interdisciplinary technologies that are poised to leave their mark on Aerospace, Defense, Manufacturing, Transportation Healthcare and many other critical fields of application. Robots take many different forms, but can generally be described as physical systems capable of carrying out a set of complex tasks in their environment. Examples include autonomous cars, intelligent manufacturing robots, swarms of delivery drones, or even surgical robots
Within the last five years, these fields have seen significant growth and both industry and academia are involved in Associated Disciplines of deep knowledge in machine learning, artificial intelligence, adaptive control, multi-agent systems, mechanical engineering, computer science, and a variety of other advanced topics.
With broad objectives to increase Performance, Productivity and efficiency, Improve science return, enhance safety and reduce cost, our activities under this will focus specifically on Design and Development of Autonomous Systems for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Robotics.
